Tomek Rygalik is a Polish designer of buildings and useful objects, working in London and Lodz. He is known for his experimental approach, but recently he focused his mainly on the search for solutions in the urban area, with various interventions - from urban furniture to other unusual installations. For them he always uses discarded or waste materials that he processes in a new piece.

In Ljubljana he tested the idea of an Urban bed, a place to gather around and rest in a public space. It consists of a universal modular pieces of cardboard tubes. With a simple twist of a singular cells it builds an unbreakable structure and a wavy landscape.

Around a successful part of an Urban bed people played XILY virus – passers-by could compose stickers of different colors of simple patterns with their own wishes and rules in complex ones.
